This little guy is lucky to be alive. In the beginning due to the isolation the dogs faced new people would get them very amped up which caused fighting. The fencing was and still is an issue, holes in the fence line also made it possible for dogs to end up where they shouldn't be.

Niko did just that, snuck under a hole in the fence line into a run with another dog. Niko was attacked. Linda rushed him to the vet and the wound was stitched up, but later became infected with a resistant bacteria that was eating his flesh. The vet was able to prescribe an antibiotic that worked and Niko now lives at Linda’s house with Grumpy.

He’s a bit of a shy character but will venture out if you have truly great treats. He’s soon to be transferred to a shelter for a chance at adoption.
