Lou (whose real name we learned is Jax) is around 12 years old and had been at the sanctuary for around 9 years. His previous owner was pregnant at the time and due to his protective nature they were worried about how he would react to a baby in the home. Lou had been adopted from acc adoption in NY, the family who adopted him had him for around 2 years prior to his surrender.

Lou has recently been diagnosed with heart failure and has been prescribed medication to help manage his condition.
